Love marriage yoga in kundli is a planetary combination that connects the 5th house of romance and personal choice with the 7th house of marriage, usually through their lords, Venus, Mars, the Moon or Rahu. When this link is strong and the running dasha activates it, the chart supports marrying a partner you chose yourself.

In Vedic astrology the 5th house (putra bhava) covers romance and choices made from the heart; the 7th house (kalatra bhava) covers the spouse and marriage. Classical texts such as Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra and Phaladeepika do not use the modern phrase "love marriage", so astrologers apply their house rules to it. That is why lists differ from site to site.

The 7 love marriage combinations I check first

These seven combinations are the first things I look for, roughly in order of weight. If you want to follow along, make your free kundli and keep it open.

1. 5th lord and 7th lord connected. A conjunction, a mutual aspect, or an exchange of signs (parivartana yoga) between the lords of the 5th and 7th is the classic sign. For example, for a Taurus ascendant, Mercury (5th lord) and Mars (7th lord) sitting together.
2. Venus and Mars together or in mutual aspect. Venus shows love and Mars shows desire and initiative. Their link creates strong attraction.
3. Rahu linked to the 5th, the 7th or Venus. Rahu breaks convention. Rahu in the 7th, or Rahu with the 7th lord, often shows a partner from a different city, background, language or country than the family expected.
4. Moon and Venus connected, or the Moon in the 5th or 7th. The Moon is the mind. When it joins Venus or sits in a house of relationships, the decision is emotional and personal rather than arranged by others.
5. Lagna lord linked to the 5th or 7th lord. The ascendant lord is you. When it joins the 5th or 7th lord, the native takes the decision about marriage into his or her own hands.
6. The 11th house joining the 5th–7th link. The 11th house shows fulfilment of desires and friendships. Many love marriages begin among friends, in college or at the office.
7. The same promise repeated in the Navamsa (D9). If the 5th–7th or Venus–Mars connection appears again in the D9 chart, or Venus is strong there, I treat the promise as firm. If the D9 contradicts the main chart, I stay cautious.

Many websites say that a Venus–Mars conjunction alone means love marriage. I disagree. I have seen this conjunction in plenty of charts where the person had several relationships and still married through a family-arranged rishta. Attraction and marriage are different questions, and the 7th house has to agree.

How I read love marriage yoga in kundli, step by step

I read a love marriage question in six steps, and the order matters because each step filters the next.

1. Check the birth time. A 10-minute error can change the ascendant and shift every house.
2. Map the 5th, 7th and 11th houses. Note their lords, occupants and aspects.
3. Look for the seven combinations above. I count how many are present and how strong the planets are by sign (exalted, own sign, debilitated or combust).
4. Read the family houses. The 2nd house (family), 4th house (mother, home peace) and 9th house (father, blessings) show whether the family is likely to accept, resist, or accept after time.
5. Confirm in the Navamsa (D9). Many "yes" answers become "yes, with effort" here.
6. Time it with dasha and transit. A yoga gives results in the Vimshottari dasha or antardasha of the planets forming it, often when Jupiter's transit touches the 5th, 7th or the ascendant.

Most of the fear around love marriage comes from half-read charts and forwarded messages.

Will the family agree? What the chart shows

Family approval is read mainly from the 2nd, 4th and 9th houses, and from Jupiter.

In my practice, this is the real question behind most love marriage consultations. When Jupiter aspects the 7th house or the 7th lord, I usually see the family come around, even after an initial "no". Saturn on the 4th or 9th house tends to show slow acceptance: months of silence, then agreement.

An illustrative example

This example is illustrative, built to show the method. It is not a real client.

Take a woman with Aries ascendant. Her 5th lord, the Sun, and her 7th lord, Venus, sit together in the 5th house in Leo. That is combination 1 (5th and 7th lords joined). Mars, her ascendant lord, sits in Aquarius in the 11th house and aspects the 5th house with its 7th aspect. That adds combinations 5 and 6. So far, a clear love marriage promise.

Now the family side. Saturn sits in its own sign Capricorn in the 10th house. From there it aspects the 4th house (mother, home) and the 7th house. I would read this as resistance at home and a delay before the marriage, not a denial. If Venus mahadasha is running with the Sun antardasha due in a couple of years, I would tell her the period to plan for is that antardasha, and that the time before it is better used for patient conversations at home than for confrontation.

Notice what I did not say: "the marriage is certain". The chart shows tendencies and timing. Her choices still count.

Practical and safe remedies for a love marriage

Remedies support a love marriage when they bring calm, discipline and respect into the situation; they never replace honest conversation with the family.

I suggest any remedy only after a personal chart check, because the wrong upay (remedy) for the wrong planet can do nothing at best. These are traditional practices and acts of faith. They cannot guarantee an outcome.

Vedic remedies (Parashari tradition)

• Donating curd, ghee or camphor on a Friday is a commonly suggested Venus upay.
• Showing respect to the women of your own household, especially your mother, is treated in Lal Kitab as a remedy for an afflicted Venus or Moon.
• Lal Kitab has strict rules on combining remedies. Do not mix ten totke from the internet at once.
